Hello I am Alee Lee, the founder of HeartWork.

HeartWork is the culmination of more than 30 years of embodied practice wisdom and integrates my professional training, and hundreds of hours of intimate work with human beings who have taught me much about navigating life’s inevitable transitions, traumas, losses, endings and new beginnings.

Throughout my career I have been fortunate to have worked with many Elders, teachers, clinicians, artists and supervisors, each of whom has influenced the way I work today.
If not for you, I would not be here today.
I wish to pay my respects to those who have come before me and have so generously shared their wisdom with me.

People who have worked with me have said that they appreciate my creativity, my joyful, and playful spirit, and see me as intuitive, empathic, compassionate and courageous.

I work at a pace that allows me to prioritize the practices that enrich my mind, body and spirit, without which I would not be able to continue to work as I do. It has always been important to me to continue to seek to balance my work with my family commitments and self care. This means that I take regular breaks and make time for quieting my mind.

I have also done and continue to do my own personal therapy. This gives me an understanding of what it is like to be in the therapy chair, to cultivate a sense of humility and to have empathy when meeting someone who is bravely facing their own adverse life experiences for the first time.
